Join Our Spring Writing Retreat
April 1- April 7, 2024
This April, give yourself a week of writing, reading, discussion, and the company of kindred spirits at our intimate 7 day writing retreat at sister properties in Lisbon and Alentejo, Portugal, April 1-April 7, 2024. We’ll spend one night in Lisbon at the beginning and end of the retreat. In between, we’ll nestle in at Green House, a boutique hotel located in the center of the beautiful village of Vila Nova da Baronia . The countryside is gorgeous and peaceful, a perfect place to write, rest, read and regroup. We’ll meet for three-hour writing workshops each morning, and spend afternoons writing, sight-seeing, and attending a cooking class. At night, we’ll eat dinner together and hold '“open mics” sowriters can read new work out loud.

To enroll, book a non-refundable 50% deposit to secure a spot by February 15, 2023.
Writers can submit up to 30 pages (7,500 words) ahead of time for line edits and written feedback.

5, 3-hour writing workshops, with "open mics" at night so that writers can read their work in front of a live audience.
One, half-hour, one-on-one conference with Laura.
Open mics, for as many evenings as we want them.
5 dinners (one dinner is a cooking session)
4 lunches (1 lunch is a ’tasting’ at a vineyard).

If fewer than 8 people are registered by February 2024, the Retreat will be cancelled and you will receive a refund, less any credit card fees.
Trip Expenses do not include International flights, alcoholic beverages other than those explicitly stated, gratuities and personal expenses such as laundry services.
For this trip, clients may change or cancel the booking in the event of a COVID-19-related reason (see below) at home or in their travel destination. Clients who meet one of the criteria below will have the option of a credit toward future travel valid through December 31, 2024. Clients are responsible for non-refundable air fees, insurance and other related costs. All other standard terms and conditions apply to the booking. Special terms are subject to change and can be withdrawn at any time.
